CLEER is located within the at 160 E Front St., Erie, PA 16501. We open anytime the library is open. Our general hours of operation are:

Monday – Thursday: 9am to 8:30pm
Friday & Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Sunday: 1pm to 5pm

Our Interactive Exhibit Space and NOAA Science on a Sphere system are FREE and open to the public whenever we are open. No appointment is necessary and we always have staff on-site to help visitors with the exhibits and answer questions.

    This area opens to the library and features interactive exhibits accessible to the public during library business hours. This space includes:

    • Lake Erie relief table
    • Great Lakes wall
    • Bookshelf wall with rotating exhibits and curated library books

    NOAA Science On A Sphere®

    NOAA’s Science On a Sphere® is a room-sized, global display system that projects visualizations onto a six-foot diameter sphere. The system provides a unique and engaging way to illustrate Earth System Science to people of all ages.  

    This space offers an opportunity for the public to engage in self-guided explorations, gaining insights into topics like oceanography, meteorology and geography through the stunning, spherical display. Additionally, educators and groups can schedule special presentations on any Earth or Space Science topic with CLEER staff, including ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ faculty affiliates.
