The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) Board of Directors approved the initial accreditation of Gannon University’s Master of Health Care Administration (MHA) program for a four-year term.

CAHME works with leading academic programs and numerous health care practitioners to ensure that graduates entering the health care field have undergone an educational process that meets rigorous, measurable standards for effectiveness. CAHME is the only organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to grant accreditation to individual academic programs offering a graduate degree in health care management.

“Our team at Gannon University is committed to developing future health care professionals who are ethical, strategic and ready to lead,” said Richard Stachel, D.Sc., director of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s MHA program. “The notice of our CAHME accreditation confirms our strengths and sets us apart as an institution on the cutting edge of health care education — equipping future health care leaders with the knowledge and practical application required to lead in the changing health care landscape.”

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s STEM-designated MHA program is designed to prepare health care management professionals and recent college graduates for diverse positions in health care administration. The program offers flexible online delivery, three bundled certifications and emphasizes innovative, project-based learning in collaboration with institutions such as hospitals, physician practices and long-term care facilities.
