General Admission Requirements
Candidates for admission must be graduates of accredited secondary schools, preparatory schools, or present a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). It is recommended that a candidate's preparation include 16 academic units distributed as follows:
Science and Engineering
- English: 4 units
- Social Sciences and Global Language: Any combination of 4 units
- Mathematics: 4 units including Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus
- Science: 4 units including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with Labs
Humanities
- English and Social Sciences: 4 units
- Global Language, Mathematics, and Science: Any combination of 12 units
Health Sciences
- English: 4 units
- Social Sciences and Global Language: Any combination of 4 units
- Mathematics: 4 units including up to Algebra II and Pre-Calculus
- Science: 4 units including Biology and Chemistry with Labs
Business
- English: 4 units
- Social Sciences and Global Language: Any combination of 4 units
- Mathematics: 4 units including Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus
- Science: 4 units including Biology and Chemistry with Labs
Education
- English: 4 units
- Global Language, Mathematics, and Science: Any combination of 12 units
Next-Step Requirements
Transfer students with an associate’s degree in arts or science may be able to complete this major through ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s Next–Step Program. Next–Step guarantees acceptance of up to 64 credits with grades of C or better and allows students to enter ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ with junior level status.
