Advising for Undergraduate Physical Therapy Students
As a ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ undergraduate student, you will be assigned an academic advisor who is a faculty member in the graduate DPT program.
, is the Physical Therapy Undergraduate Coordinator who will also assist you during your scholastic endeavors at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. These advisors as well as the Coordinator will schedule individual and group advising meetings on a regular basis. As an advisee, you are able to request a meeting with your major or physical therapy academic advisor at any time during your enrollment at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.
Additionally, there are several established advising periods. These include:
- Advising Day: a day established by the University. Classes are not held on Advising Day to allow you to meet with your advisors.
- ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ DPT Program - Informational meeting: an opportunity to learn more about the graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. This meeting is held each April and is open to any student who is interested in the program.
- Graduate admission meeting: the "nuts and bolts" of completing the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ graduate admission application; open to those ready to take this next step. This meeting is held each September for students applying in their last year of the undergraduate program.
